Univacco Technology Inc. has gained the ISO 18745-1:2018 certificate for its hot stamping foil PV series. This serves as confirmation that the foil meets the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) standards for the durability of fully personalized Machine Readable Passports (MRPs).

The stamping durability of travel documents is of paramount importance. In particular, the cover of passports with validity periods up to ten years requires strict quality assurance. To effectively tackle this challenging task, Univacco has especially engineered the hot stamping foil PV series.

The test methods of ISO 18745-1:2018 include short-term immersion in chemicals, salt mist exposure, exposure to artificial perspiration, and color fastness. The results show that the PV series can provide passport covers with excellent resistance to chemicals, thus offering highly durable travel documents of top quality.
